Route Optimization Using Collective Binding Update and Mobile Network Prefix for Nested Mobile Networks

چکیده
Network Mobility (NEMO) supports the movement of some part of network that a group of Mobile Nodes (MNs) or Mobile Routers (MRs) moves together. To support NEMO, the NEMO basic support protocol (NBSP) was proposed [1]. In the nested mobile network, however, the NBSP exhibits pinball routing problem. The More nesting level, the problem becomes more serious. In this paper, we propose a new NEMO management scheme using Collective Binding Update (CBU) and Mobile Network Prefix (MNP). It can achieve route optimization and easy to implement. Performance analysis indicates that proposed scheme can reduce packet delay with low processing and signalling overheads. 1

R-BU : Recursive Binding Update for Route Optimization in Nested Mobile Networks
This paper proposes Recursive Binding Update (R-BU) that optimizes routing for nested mobile networks. Nested mobile network is a hierarchical form of mobile networks, e.g. a wireless personal area network (PAN) in a vehicular network. A mobile network moves as a single unit with one or more mobile routers that connect it to the global Internet. Nested mobile networks have pinball routing probl...

In this paper, we first apply the hierarchical concept to the care-of prefix (CoP) scheme as HCoP and enhance HCoP with a novel binding update tree (BUT) structure as HCoP-B for network mobility (NEMO) management of the nested mobile network. Second, we further extend HCoP-B to support the seamless handoff of the nested NEMO. As compared to schemes such as reverse routing header (RRH), route op...
متن کاملRBU+: Recursive Binding Update for End-to-End Route Optimization in Nested Mobile Networks
In this paper, we propose an end-to-end route optimization scheme for nested mobile networks, which we refer to as Recursive Binding Update plus (RBU+). A nested mobile network is a hierarchical form of mobile networks. Nested mobile networks suffer from a pinball routing problem with hierarchical mobile routers. This problem becomes more serious in the case of macro mobility, as the routing di...
متن کاملAHS: Advanced Handoff Scheme for Nested Mobile Networks
Network Mobility Basic Support protocol (NEMO Basic) that is designed to offer network mobility is not efficient to offer low latency handoff in the case of nested mobile networks since fairly sub-optimal routing is utilized. A mobile network is composed of Mobile Network Nodes (MNNs) and a Mobile Router (MR). Route optimization for MNNs in IPv6 mobile networks is performed with Hierarchical Pr...
متن کاملHierarchical Route Optimization Scheme Using Advanced Binding Update List (BUL+) for Nested Mobile Networks
Supporting networks that roam as one unit is needed to provide the transparency of Internet in mobile frameworks, like cars, trains, planes, buses, etc. To accomplish this, NEMO (Network Mobility) Basic Support protocol has been proposed and developed by Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). Although, it achieves continuous, optimal and secure communication to and from all nodes, it still suf...
